Counting the days till we live on our across the pond trip. I think it sounds pretentious to say we are going to Europe....it isn't like we are going to see are off Europe, just a very small part of it. I am really excited to get there and see if we can do it. I'm a little worried about the money exchange but i guess we will be able to handle it, millions of others do. all the pounds and euros, a little more than I want to think about.
Our yard and home were once again nominated by a neighbor for an award. The committee witll drive by tomorrow evening all of the homes and yards that were nominated. It is a nice honor that someone thinks our yard deserves an award. It is really pretty but we love taking care of it. Al went to Menards yesterday and bought $5 in plants. That was a basketfull of flowers that are barely haning on to life. But we both think that we can get them going. Some are prennials so they will come back next year. I found some little berries on the bittersweet, I hope that it is really bittersweet and not some pretend weed! I will be berry disappointed if it is! Time will tell. The tomatoes plants are enormous, hopefully the tomatoes will be too and the pepper plants are coning along nicely. The fence around the garden is fantastic, I love it! Next year I would like to put hollyhocks in there. For some reason I have trouble growing them so it would be good to start over with them in a good area. Which is silly because they grow in allies with cinders! They grow everywhere but in my yard!!
John Miller is 71 today, Mary Lou Williams will be 60 tomorrow and Henry Bechtel would be 139 on the 12th if he were still living.....so many birthdays in July!
So much to still do before the pond trip...Au revior or something like that
