Such a busy summer, I don't know where the time has gone. We have enjoyed 2 of our wonderful vacations with the 3rd coming up very soon. We had a wonderful time in PCB with all of the family. For the first time in a very long time we were all there, even if Rick Short was only with us for a short time, it was great. The weather was perfect, no big drama, just lots of relaxation and fun. The kids beat on a pinata, we had dance revolution at Tracy's, we had root beer floats, got to visit with Jerry and Jeni, just a very nice time.
London and Paris are approching and I'm getting excited at the sites we are going to see. I know there are lots places we should see in the US but this is really old time history, old buildings and all the good stuff, where our ancestors came from. Well not really ours but someones along the way. It seems a little unreal to me that we are really doing this.
i don't think we are going to WAshington DC this fall. I'm really not sure how much vacation time I will have left and how much our budget can stand. It might be nice to stay home for a week and putz around the house or go to Galena or something like that. We will see
Our yard is also shaping up quite nicely. The tomatoes are all fenced in as are the peppers, and the bittersweet is growing quite well. I hpe that what I think is the male bittersweet plant is really that or we won't be having any pretty bittersweet in the fall decorations! The new roses are blooming beautiful and the climber is really trying to climb. The orange petunias are spectacular. I was so lucky to find them I have to harvest some seeds this fall so I can plant lots of them next spring....
So that is what is going on, working, playing in the garden and loving life!
