didn;t get to have dinner with Lauren, more snow streets. Interstate 80 is one awful highway in the rain and snow. Everyone goes so fast wet or dry. Tons of trucks. Hopefully we will get together in the next couple of weeks....Leaving for Peoria earlier than I thought. Forecast of 5-7 inches more snow there and a little less than that here. Hope that Karyn and Rick can get out of Ptown for their respective destinations.
That being said I am getting a little tired of this weather. It has been a long time since I have spent so much time at home and I'm getting Cabin Fever. I like to be at home but on my own terms. One can only read so much and sew and crochet. I'm a little ready for the outside world.
Made another good soup last night. Cabbage, sauerkraut, tomatoes, sausage, rice, spices oh so good. A bit like cabbage rolls but so much easier. added a little bread with butter and parmesean cheese toasted and it was great. I need to make a list of the soups we've had.
Started a new book Divergent. sort of like the Hunger Games but so far not as emotionally brutal and it has a bit of humor. We'll see where it takes us.
stay out of snow drifts!
