state champs!! Rock Island Rocks!!

The the first time ever in the QC high school tradition, a local high school has brought home the Illinois state Basketball Championship trophy!   What a feat this was for them.....Al and Alan had a great time at the game, even though Alan asked if they could leave with 4 minutes left in the 2nd overtime so they wouldn't get caught in traffic!! Grandpa about stroked out on that one!   It isn't every day that a coach and a team accomplish this, some teams go year after year and you wonder if the luster of it all ever wears off  but the first time has to be surreal.  I know kids are different every year so it probably is that great feeling every time.  I am just very happy that it happened to RI!

A little cloudy and rainy today.  Good day to stay in and get caught on on things.  Laundry and all the other stuff is always ready and waiting. 

Getting ready to book our flight to the Ham.  It should be fun toting the Leventry kids around a bit, and see Kate do what she does.  Lauren is going down this week to help Kate get ready for Prom....what a fun time for them  I think it is time for Karyn and Jayne meet Lauren.
