Well there are 5 pumpkins that are full grown and picked. Yesterday while cleaning out the patch a bit, I pulled some vines out and lo and behold there were two baby pumpkins just beginning. By the time I saw them it was too late to go back, so i lost them. It makes me mad at myself, I should have just left them alone a little longer and I would have had two more. I've looked on the other vines and there are some possiblities but I will have to wait and see. Patience girl
On a brighter note, the tomatoes have finally seen the light of day with the pumpkin leaves receding. I picked one today and there are more on the vine. It will be fun to have our own tomatoes going into the fall....we do love our tomatoes. and I found a sprig of basil that somehow seeded itself in the brick patio....it is little and I know it won't grown very big because we walk on it but it is fun to see it...and a little impatient plant somehow got loose and found its way into the bricks in the back side garden. I think this garden is very fun to watch, and I espsecially love it when flowers and herbs pop up out of nowehere.
